Correctional Associations
American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) is an international association composed of members from the United States, Canada and other countries actively involved with pretrial, probation, parole and community-based corrections, in both criminal and juvenile justice arenas. All levels of government including federal, state/provincial, local and tribal agencies are counted among its constituents.
Association of Paroling Authorities International (APAI) a group of international colleagues in the field of parole expressed a strong interest in discussing best practices and current issues surrounding conditional release, reentry into the community and public safety.
International Community Corrections Association (ICCA), is a membership organization dedicated to promoting community-based corrections for adults and juveniles to enhance public safety. ICCA acts as the representative voice for residential and other community corrections programs affirms that its primary goal is the successful re-integration of the client into the community.
Correctional Facilities
American Correctional Association (ACA), is the oldest and largest international correctional association in the world. Approximately 80 percent of all state departments of corrections and youth services are active participants. ACA has developed national standards for the operation and administration of correctional agencies/facilities and accredits the correctional agencies/facilities with compliance.
Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is responsible for ensuring that federal offenders serve their sentences in appropriately secure facilities and provide reentry programming to ensure their successful return to the community.
U.S. Courts Probation and Pretrial Services carries out probation and pretrial services functions in the U.S. district courts.

The National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) The mission of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care is to improve the quality of health care in jails, prisons and juvenile confinement facilities.
